Design Express and CAP Studio have been the two leading AutoCAD-based Commercial
space planning and furniture specification software programs. Upon the acquisition
of Design Express by 20-20 Technologies, plans began to combine the two products
into one platform offering the best of each. The Design Express Migration Program
was developed as the roadmap for this transition. The Migration was announced in
early 2007 and is proceeding toward conclusion at the end of 2008.
Under the Migration, companies using Design Express purchase 20-20 CAP Studio for
their AutoCAD-based users and Worksheet for non-graphical specifiers. Design Express
updates continue throughout the Migration to ensure uninterrupted productivity.
Training for CAP and Worksheet is conducted either on-site, at a 20-20 classroom
or via live, online hosted sessions.
The version of 20-20 CAP Studio and Worksheet launched in fall 2007 included the
first batch of features inspired by Design Express and introduced conversion utilities
for Design Express drawings. Many joined the Migration right away and have now migrated
to CAP and Worksheet. These companies enjoy access to more manufacturer catalogs,
intelligent design-assist tools, integrated custom reporting, the largest community
of trained users and a host of other benefits which have made CAP Studio the most
widely deployed tool in the industry.
